Over the summer we took a fabulous trip to The Red Barn Campground in Shell Lake, WI. We were in site 19, which is a full hookup sight for the week. There is a great seasonal section in the back of the campground, but we were in the nightly area by the pond.
We had only one other family by us until Thursday when the ‘weekend warriors’ began showing up. There is a ton to do at the campground like basketball, pickleball, arts, crafts, and, of course, the swimming pond.
They have a nice community building where they will host activities, events, and the pickleball court is in there. When we were there they were updating the bathrooms in our section. The interior was all new with pine walls and very clean toilets, sinks, and showers. They even installed air conditioners to help with the warm summer months.
We will continue to post about the places we visited outside of the campground. There were a lot of small, local places that we really enjoyed. Stay tuned and Enjoy Being Fabulous!
